Handling and Storage Instructions
Keep the containers in cool and dry place as supplied. - Partially used containers should be closed immediately to avoid the contamination of product from heat, cold, humidity, moisture & chemical fumes.
- The products should be handled carefully using non-sparking devices.
- The handling devices should be dry and clean without any contamination of moisture (or) other metal powders / chemicals.
- Formation of dust cloud should be avoided.
- Avoid any sources of sparks, ignition and naked flame.
- In case of Cobalt & Tungsten powders, Silica gel pouch is provided in the containers to avoid moisture and lumps formation.
- In case of pre-mixed zinc alloy powder, open the containers at the time of requirement and close tightly after use along with the silica gel pouch provided in the bag to avoid moisture and lumps formation. It is hygroscopic in nature, hence lumping & color changing is expected in any adverse atmosphere, handling and storage conditions. Even if any lumps are noticed, quality is not deteriorated; simple crushing of lumps in to powder will make it suitable for use.
